The current interim government’s Prime Minister Hazem El-Beblawi met with Judge Adel Abdel Hamid to discuss the cabinet position of Justice Minister on Sunday afternoon.
Adel Abdel Hamid, a graduate of Cairo University’s law school, was considered a candidate for the justice minister position in Kamal Al-Ganzory’s government in December 2011. He was also assigned a head position in the Egyptian Court of Cassation.
The cabinet for the interim government was formed last week, with the appointment of with 34 ministers.
The cabinet was created after the ouster of President Mohamed Morsi and dissolution of the Shura Council on 3 July following massive demonstrations.
