The following Egyptian champions participated: Mohamed El-Shorbagy, ranked 1st internationally; Omar Mosad, ranked 8th internationally; Marwan El-Shorbagy, ranked the 6th internationally; and Tarek Momen, ranked the 11th internationally.

Mosad exited the tournament in the first round, after he lost to South Africa’s Stephen Coppinger, with a score of 3-2 (8-11/9-11/11-6/11-6/3-11).

Mohamed El-Shorbagy also exited the tournament in the first round, after he lost to England’s Daryl Selby by 3-2 (11-13/11-9/11-9/8-11/9-11).
