The founder of HerZone.com, Diaa Hassan, announced the official launch of the website and its application in Egypt to deliver new packages of products and services for its consumers in Egypt and the Middle East.
“In less than six months we have built a strong platform, as well as a very solid customer base. We are moving to increase the number of followers and products on the platform and social networks as a first step,” said Hassan.
He added that while e-commerce in the Middle East is much lower than other regions of the world, especially compared to the United States, China, and Europe, the growth rate in this sector ranges between 30-40% annually.
“Some of the major challenges facing the spread of e-commerce platforms in Egypt is the weakness of consumer confidence in online shopping in general, and also that many consumers still do not have credit cards, in addition to security and privacy issues,” Diaa Hassan added.
Hassan believes that the Egyptian market is qualified to make a breakthrough in this regard in light of the high numbers of internet and mobile phones users.
