The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) launched the Africa Together programme to boost Egyptian IT companies’ exports. The programme comes in cooperation with the International Data Corporation (IDC), the premier global provider of market intelligence, advisory services, and events for the information technology, telecommunications, and consumer technology markets.
Africa Together is part of ITIDA’s go-to-market strategy to help Egyptian companies penetrate high-growth markets across Africa through a joint partnership, enhancing ICT industry as a key contributor to the country’s economic growth. Africa Together will help in matching the capabilities of Egyptian ICT companies with the needs of end-user companies in Africa. This matchmaking process will culminate in an event, where IDC will bring Egyptian ICT players together with leading end-user organisations and channels from the West and East African regions to discuss future cooperation and partnerships. All Egyptian IT firms are welcomed to apply for the programme.
The following steps will explain how to apply for the programme.
Eligible Egyptian companies must meet the following minimum criteria:
You must be a registered company on ITIDA’s database.
More than 51% Egyptian ownership.
Headquarters based in Egypt.
How to Apply
Step 1: online questionnaire
After you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for the programme through taking the online questionnaire.
This questionnaire is very important, and your selection into the programme will depend on the answers that you provide in all sections. You should focus in this stage and make sure you provide accurate and relevant answers to all questions. Incomplete answers and inaccurate data may result in excluding your company.
Step 2: validation
IDC analysts may call you to verify your responses in the questionnaire and ask additional questions to ensure accuracy.
Step 3: final selection
Final selection will be determined according to the opportunity and demand for technologies and services as identified during the research with the African channels and end users. IDC will consolidate the results of these interviews, and the final selection for the go-to-market will be demand-based. In other words, the companies that provide products aligning with the needs and requirements of African markets will be selected.
If you meet the eligibility criteria and you are already a member in ITIDA’s database, you can join the programme without registration and answer the online survey developed by IDC to continue the selection process.
If you are not a member in ITIDA’s database, you should first register and then join the programme. You should ensure that your registration data has been fully completed and up to date.
