‏Ever tried to become the hero of your favourite movie or live one of the games on your smartphone? This is what Cardoo, a technology development and marketing company, has aimed to achieve since it was founded in late 2015.

‏Founded by a group of young Egyptians who are passionate about modern technology, Cardoo launched its first products, virtual reality (VR) headsets, in 2016, which were fully manufactured in Egypt.

‏The company was able to attract attention with the first product it launched given the popularity of VR gear among a wide range of young technology enthusiasts. The result: the company was able to achieve sales that reached more than 10,000 units in one year only.

‏In the following year, the company launched its second version of VR headsets, achieving sales of over 30,000 units in its second year of existence.

‏At the beginning of the new year, Cardoo announced the launch of the third edition of its headsets in the Egyptian market, aiming to achieve its highest sales yet this year. The headset offers its users 360-degree technology that takes them to their favourite worlds.

‏Virtual reality gives users the unique experience of living and enjoying an experience. Cardoo gadgets also work on smartphones with screens ranging from 3.5 to 6 inches.

‏Commenting on the release of their third version of the headsets, Cardoo CEO Ahmed Adel said, “‏we aim to surpass 100,000 in sales this year,” adding that the company is offering smartphone applications to support Cardoo’s virtual reality on all smart phones.

‏Adel pointed out that the VR application is the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa. The team has allocated EGP 1m in investments this year to developing their application and supporting the virtual reality technology, aiming to launch the first version of the application by the end of this month. He added that the team is constantly seeking to develop Egyptian presence in the field of modern technology.

Cardoo was established at the end of 2015 by Ahmed Adel, in cooperation with an Egyptian team of ambitious, talented young people. The team is constantly researching and developing new products to select innovative high-quality products to offer to customers in the Egyptian market, in addition to solid and high-standard customer service.
