Citizens can field questions to president from 13-15 May: presidency

‘Ask the President”’ initiative re-launched to allow citizens to express their concerns

President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi will receive questions from citizens through the “Ask the president” initiative for three days starting from 13 May, according to the presidency’s official website.

“From the very beginning, we have taken dialogue together as a way to meet challenges,” the president wrote on his official Twitter account, adding that as part of the constant path for communication, questions will be accepted through askthepresident.net from 13-15 May.

The “Ask the President” initiative was launched in April 2017 on the sidelines of the third National Youth Conference that was held in Ismailia. In the previous conferences, there were open sessions dedicated to the initiative, during which the president answered questions from citizens.

This comes within the framework of the president’s keenness to communicate directly with all sectors of Egyptian society, to enhance trust and build dialogue between citizens and political leadership, state-run Akhbar Al-Youm reported.

Al-Sisi is re-launching the “Ask the president” initiative for five days to receive inquiries from citizens regarding his first presidential term, according to Akhbar Al-Youm.

In January, the initiative was held from 10-15 January on social media platforms to allow citizens to communicate the president about their concerns and ask questions over different political, social, and economic issues.
