President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi is to meet President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov who will arrive in Cairo to boost bilateral relations, presidency spokesperson Bassam Rady said.
Al-Sisi and his counterpart are expected to discuss bilateral relations in order to boost cooperation in trade and industry.
The President of Tatarstan and his accompanying delegation will participate in a forum organized by General Union of Chambers of Commerce on Monday.
The Egyptian-Tatarstan forum aims to boost and stimulate trade exchange and investment relations between the two countries
In April, Egypt’s ambassador to Russia Ihab Nasr met Minnikhanov, marking the last meeting between Egyptian officials and Tatarstan.
The Republic of Tatarstan is located in central Russia. The foreign trade between Tatarstan and Egypt reached 22.8m in 2017.
President Al-Sisi is to head to Russia on 17 October to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to discuss bilateral relations.
