Egyptian-African Relations Committee discusses strengthening Egypt’s stance in Africa

The meeting was chaired by Egypt’s Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs Hamdi Sanad Loza, and took place in the presence of representatives from various ministries and government bodies.


The Standing Committee for the Follow-up of Egyptian-African Relations held a meeting on Sunday to discuss Egyptian activities regarding Africa.

The meeting was chaired by Egypt’s Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs Hamdi Sanad Loza, and took place in the presence of representatives from various ministries and government bodies.

The meeting reviewed ways to strengthen Egypt’s move towards the African continent in light of the attention given by the political leadership to this file.

It also looked at developments in relations with the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), in light of DRC President Felix Tshisekedi’s visit to Cairo in February.

The meeting additionally dealt with Egypt’s relations with Burundi, in light of the visit of Burundian President Evariste Ndayishimiye to Cairo last March.
