Altibbi launches first Arabic app thriving with reproductive health in Egypt

App enables 24/7 medical inquiries

Dedicated to women in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Altibbi launches Altibbi Mama App, the first Arabic application supporting mothers through pregnancy and maternity journey, relying on thousands of doctors and consultants.

The app enables 24/7 medical inquiries through voice calls or texts, which ensures healthy and safe pregnancy to all Egyptian and Arab women.

Co-Founder and CEO of Altibbi, Jalil Allabadi, commented, “Reinforcing women’s reproductive health in Egypt, Jordan & KSA, we launched Altibbi Mama App to offer one stop to all pregnant women with all the information they need and the pregnancy features. The app’s services are provided at an affordable price less than EGP 75 per month, with 6 to 12 months subscriptions. Altibbi targets serving 500K ladies by the end of 2021.”

Allabadi added, “Aligning with Egypt’s endeavors to promote women health through the ‘100 Million Health’ campaign, we strived hard to introduce the application in Arabic along with creating a user-friendly experience. Accordingly, the company aims at serving women nationwide while raising awareness of reproductive health. Also, all our services are paid for electronically by credit cards, protecting mothers and children from Coronavirus.”

Altibbi Mama includes various services handling two main aspects; mothers’ safety and children’s health. Regarding mothers’ safety, the app features detailed information on pregnancy weeks, illustrating the symptoms and the required tests of every stage to ensure safe pregnancy. And above all, pregnant women enjoy the swift “call a doctor” service that is available 24/7 to communicate with experienced doctors. The app also presents Hijri and Gregorian calendars of pregnancy, ovulation and due date calendars, in addition to a list of suggested names for boys and girls.

As for children’s health, the app allows tracking fetus growth, and then babies’ development stages in their first years, including nursing times, weaning and teething. Users are also provided with tips about proper nutrition, sleep practices, soothing techniques and common diseases among babies like stomachache and vomiting. The app also notifies mothers with vaccination schedules and clinics in each country, building on fruitful cooperation with ministries of health.
